The enforcement mechanism is the main emphasis of this study, which also documents the States/UTs progress in implementing the code and discusses any roadblocks or difficulties encountered along the way. To lower the sector's energy intensity and achieve the global climate targets, minimum energy performance requirements are necessary. We aim to close the gap between policies and action plans and ensure greenhouse gas reduction in the construction industry by providing guidelines for the effective implementation and enforcement of the codes.
